As we celebrate Women’s History Month, and International Women’s Day, we at Envoy wanted to take this moment to recognize the contributions of women in all facets of our life.
They’re our mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, cousins and grandmothers. They’re our wives, our best friends, our colleagues, and our peers. They’re the clients we serve, the family who care for them, and our Envoys who provide that little bit of help that brings us closer.
This year’s theme is #BeBoldforChange and we celebrate all the ways women adapt and help lead us through changes in the world around us.
Across the United States, millions of women have stepped up to provide care for an elder loved one while also balancing a career with raising their own children at home. In all, they’re providing hundreds of billions in unpaid care for those they love.
At Envoy, we aspire to be part of the solution to meet these challenges and help bring greater peace of mind and a trusted helping hand especially to those in the midst of the balancing act.
We also believe there is a strong case for employers to provide greater support to help working women meet these caregiving challenges.
Our blog post, The Business Case For Supporting Working Women With Aging Parents, highlights the disproportionate challenges that women face and why there is a clear business case for employers to help eliminate the forced choice between commitment to family and a successful career.
We’re now starting to see employers do more, and it makes us even more optimistic about what’s to come.
