This holiday season, we’re especially grateful to be a part of a vibrant local community of service providers and organizations who all share the same fundamental mission: to empower older adults and their families to live life to the fullest.
None of us can do it alone. At Envoy, we believe “a little help brings us closer” and with a little help from all of you, we’ve been privileged to make a positive impact in the lives of so many clients referred to us by our friends and partners in the local community.
We wanted to take a brief moment to share with you two stories of how our Family Concierge service has been able to help clients referred to us this past year:
Ann & Robert in El Cerrito, CA
Ann takes care of her father, Robert, who suffers from Alzheimer’s and needed help from someone she could trust. She was referred to Envoy by a home care agency and decided to contact us about Robert’s needs. Envoy matched Ann and Robert with their Envoy, Kristin, who has personal experience with Alzheimer’s.
Now Kristin picks up Robert every week to take him to church and then for a walk around the park, often sending pictures to Ann to share the experience. Ann has the peace-of-mind she was looking for, and Robert is able to live life to the fullest.
Rita in San Francisco, CA
Rita’s retirement community offers a variety of on-site amenities but referred her to Envoy when she mentioned that she also needed help getting to her doctor appointments. Now her Envoy assistant, Brian, takes her to appointments about twice a month.
Brian escorts her to her doctor’s office and waits for her while she is seen. Afterwards, Brian helps Rita coordinate any follow-up appointments, including scheduling a ride for her next visit through the Envoy Concierge Desk. Rita enjoys talking with Brian during their rides, and they have truly formed a special bond.
THANK YOU for helping to make these and many more stories possible. We’re proud to be working side-by-side with you to serve our local communities, and we look forward to helping each other make an even greater impact in the coming New Year.
